People say look how big the universe is...there must be life. They say this because they don't realize how fragile life is and how many things must be perfect for life to exit.

Life forms/organisms , if we find them, will likely be bacteria. They are not likely going to be creatures you walk up to and say hello. Even NASA is looking for just simple signs of life not developed organisms like humanoids.

I'm of the opinion, as has already been expressed in other responses, that the universe is simply too big for there not to be other intelligent life out there. Although certainly not in our own solar system.

Yes, the conditions that are conducive to the evolution of life forms are rare, certainly based on our own interpretations of "life" however I would expect that rarity is outdone by the vastness of the universe and the number of planets and solar sytems out there.

Yes.

Reason #1: Repitition is common in the universe.

There is more than one gas giant planet in our own solar system, more than one rock planet, more than one black hole out there, more than one quasar, etc.

Reason #2: Statistical probability supports exjstence of life along a continuum.

Our Earth has carbon-based life forms along a continuum from bacteria to whales. (Humans are less intelligent than these creatures, we do more due to our physical configuration.) Other planets have differently-based life forms, say, sulfur-based, or iron-based, etc. Maybe their ecosystems balance methane and helium instead of carbon dioxide and oxygen, for example. Some of these life forms are less well developed than our simplest forms, and some of them are more well developed than our most complex forms.

yes, i believe, maybe in other galaxy or in other solar system there could be living organisms. if sun gives life and the sun is a star there are a billion billion stars more in the whole universe. So for me there could be organisms or humans like us that is living in other galaxy or planet.

depends on the term "life" that you are referring to. it can be microorganisms or sentient beings. as for the first one, theoretically speaking, yes. ours is not the only planet revolving under a solar system, much more on the Milky
Way. as for the second one, well, we have theoretically concluded that microorganisms can exist in other planets, whereas we ourselves are composed of the same. so, logically speaking, yes... it can be that they are more advanced to "hide" from us, or more backwater that they cannot reach our signals as well... only time can provide conclusive evidence... =)

Yes I do.

I only have one reason, and that should be sufficient enough.

The universe is ENDLESS. It goes on and on, and on.

Now, do you think we're the ONLY ONES out of all that void matter?
