I am a black guy that really does not have any problems with white folks at all and never have had any problems.

I find my black cohorts only wanting to interact with blacks and network with blacks. Is there something I am missing. I just can't see myself only wanting to deal with only blacks and no one else.
As a black guy should I only want to deal with blacks?
I don't understand the thinking.

I know some whites only want to deal with whites only, but that's not my point.

Hopefully that kind of foolish thinking will be gone in years to come. It is my hope that people will treat each other with the respect that a person has earned regardless of his race, religion, or creed.

So far, I can boast of 4 generations of unprejudiced people in my family. I would hope that other families are seeing that type of change within their families.

I make my decisions based on quality, convenience, promptness, honesty, reliability, and cost when choosing a company to deal with. Believe me, however, I am familiar with that attitude in both blacks, hispanics, whites, etc.. down south especially.

some of us are just raised different. I'm much like you in the fact that I'll deal with or hang out with any race and feel comfortable ( I'm white ) but like you said alot of white guy's only talk to or hang out with other white guy's. I was raised to appreciate everyone.

no your thinking is not flawed as long as you are not denying or pretending to be something your not, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with you or your thinking
Variety is the spice of life after all, treat all people the same and love everyone and you'll be just fine, people who live within the boxes set out for them never have fun....
