Hai Lance O,

2x - 3 / 3x = 5 / 6
=> 2x - 1 / x = 5 / 6
=> 12x - 6 / x = 5
=> 12x^2 - 6 = 5x
=> 12x^2 - 6 - 5x = 0
=> 12x^2 + x - 6x - 6 = 0
=> 12x(x +1) - 6(x +1) = 0
=> (x +1)(12x - 6) = 0
=> 6(x +1)(2x - 1) = 0
=> (x +1) = 0, or, (2x - 1) = 0
=> x = -1 or x = 1/2

2x - 3 / 3x = 5/6

Cross multiplying

12x - 18 = 15x

-18 = 3x

x = -6

2x - 3 / 3x = 5 / 6

take 3 common in denominator and cancel 3 on both sides.
2x - 3 / x = 5 / 2

now cross multiply
2(2x-3)=5x
4x-6=5x
x= -6

(2x-3)/3x = 5/6
6(2x-3) = 5(3x)
12x-18 = 15x
-18 = 3x
-6 = x
