The term cricketer has completely changed its meaning. It means you should not be best at only one thing, like bowling, batting or fielding, but you have to specialize at one and be good at other two too. Yet the fitness has a major role to play in the game now adays.
As far as Ramesh Powar is concerned, he cetainly has talent and wits for off-spin bowling, has good brains to trick the batsman and experts have also admitted it, but he is not at all good at fielding and batting is not good too. Fitness well thats pretty aparent, isnt it?
The game is very dynamic now. So he's not the best of the cricketers.

The game is very dynamic now. So he's not the best of the cricketers.I dont find anything especiall in his bowling, i can see him spinning the ball by his hands but the ball doesnt, it just only turns & go slow to the batsman, & his fielding is worst seriously...
The only speciall thing i find in him is his Bekham hairstyle his tummy & his red glasses. Thats it!

But he is not bad, it necessary for a team to have a slow bowler like him
no. he is just out-of-form and he needs more xperience to come back, so I should suggest MS Dhoni to include him but to give him less overs to ball (like 5th/6th or 7th bowler).

Consider Yuvraj Singh, he was truly out-of-form in the T20 event, but suddenly he came alive and bashed 58 runs and 70 runs on the next 2 occasions (against Sa - super8s & against Australia - semis) vow.! you asked what I thought in the past 1 month. He is not a worst player but currently he is not doing well. poor bowling, fielding & batting....

But BCCI put him in the squad again and again. I think may be by political pressure...

One spinner is enough for our team because Yuvraj, Ganguly, Sachin, Shewag may use as 5 th bowler. 4 fast + 1 spin bowler is enough for our team.

So we have to include one more batsman in the team like Uthappa, Karthik, R.Sharma, Y.Pathan, Shewag......

What I my openion is, omit poor performing Power and include a batsman.
NO I DO NOT THINK SO
HE DOES GOOD BOWLING
HE ALSO DID WELL IN ENGLAND WHERE OUR FAST BOWLERS WERE NOT WORKING EXCEPT ZAHEER KHAN
I THINK WE SHOULD NOT HURT THE MORALE OF OUR PLAYER.
WE SHOULD SUPPORT OUR PLAYERS

I think now chawala should give the chance he is more fitter and young led and can be an assate to the time in future rather then waisting time on power nither he is fit or giving his best to the team in all the departments.
