The context of this question is: Barack Obama spent seven years in the Illinois State Senate before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. Clinton was elected to the Senate in 2000. One has been in the national political scene longer, but the other has been elected to office for a longer period of time. So which gives more experience?

Yes, 7 years in the U.S. Senate and 8 years in the White House is more experience than 7 years in a state legislature and 3 years years in the U.S. Senate.
Even with his lack of experience, Senator Obama is 1,000 times more qualified for the job than GWB is or ever will be.

Absolutely not. The fact that she is the democrat party front-runner further proves political desperation. I find it difficult to understand her stands on issues as well. Ms. Clinton is much like John Kerry in that she changes her opinion to suit her audience (i.e. she voted for funding the Iraq conflict, then spoke against it as a matter of political correctness). Her disparaging of General Petraeus war front evaluation was yet another inexcusable act (she was one of many who supported his appointment at the onset). She is no more than a spokesperson for George Soros/left-wing funded causes and has accomplished nothing as a senator.

I wouldn't discount the experience of being in the White House for 8 years, even as First Lady.
And I can only hope that Hillary gets the nomination so that it will be so easy to keep the Dem's out of office again. The only person who would be better would be Obamma.

Yes,I would say that 8 years as 1st lady qualify as political experience. That's rarified air they breathe in that house and she has breathed it and survived. While no fan of Mrs. Clinton, yes,I would have to say her inside knowledge of the workings of the political scene foreign and domestic is valid and valueable experience if used wisely. Moreso coupled with her professional political experience which she has too.
However,I am not her supporter.

It sure does, as long as she was First Lady to a decent President like George W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, or Dwight Esenhouer. If you were married to Bill Clinton, then the answer is no.

- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
