I don't think that women should have to define themselves in reference to a man. Maybe its common, but then again maybe its time to re-think gender roles as being mostly irrelevant.

Personally I think a woman can be whatever she wants to be, with or without a man. Same for men. Or the in-betweens. All three sexes should have equality. (or should I say, the whole spectrum - now there's something to think about)
