They probably wouldn't let him use a teleprompter and without it he wouldn't even be able to pronounce the names of his hosts or know where he was.

Because he is told to say before hand. Meaning in a controlled environment the questions are rigged for him to look smart. If he went to a university in Iran to debate, he would completely humiliate himself and his country because he is a ******* moron without a clue. At the very least, he could be clever, but he isn't even that.
He already turned down a open ended debate against the Iranian president a couple years ago. The reasons are rather obvious.

Iran would get raped if it assasinated a country's visiting president. Assasinating the main public leadership figure doesn't solve anything because that isn't the person calling the shots. All it would do is piss people off, which isn't smart.

Because Iran is smarter than the USA they would arrest and try an enemy and hang him in a public square. We are too dumb to do this.
