I've done quite a bit of research over the Internet to find genuine - and I mean genuine - money-making opportunities. There's tons of scams out there as we all know and, believe me, I think I have checked out most of them. I'm looking for an Internet-based business and have up to £5000.00 to invest. Any ideas?
Thanks...

If you have the interest and ability, or can develop it, consider starting your own blog or website. There are many ways to make money once you have a decent amount of targeted traffic ranging from Google Adsense to an almost unlimited number of affiliate programs. Commission Junction is one of many networks of affiliate programs - and the one I've had the most success with.

Do something unique and work hard at it for awhile. My nitch is travel. It took about two or three years to make more than a few hundred dollars a month. Many times that after working at it for 6 years :-)

I have recently been buying and selling shares with a relatively new company called www.ftsie.com . It is a property stock market so it is a safe investment. You can contact them directly and arrange exactly what you would like. I invested in Bulg001 and made a quick 15% return which I was thrilled about. Definately have a look at their website

Unless you have very specific skills, such as graphic design, web design, computer programming or sell on eBay, there are no real internet work at home jobs. On line jobs are just another urban myth. You will just be bombarded with all kinds of work at home scams such as envelope stuffing, data entry, home assembly, medical transcription, reading e mails, surveys, etc.
