How do i make an animated GIF image?

i have PC
i know how to do animation
what program to use
can i use flash
and how to make it a GIF image and not a movie file?

you can use Adobe ImageReady.
Use this setting: Save Optimized As .GIF
Save as .gif

Flash file output is .swf.
