better quality of life.
What used to be considered luxuries are now considered necessities.
What used to be only for adults are now for teens and pre-teens.

Really hot people are more likely to hook up and get married - and have children who share their genetic traits. Look at Brad and Angelina. Arguably, the two hottest people on the planet, and they end up together. If they reproduce, imagine what their offspring will look like as adults.
That's evolution for you.

Society is kinda forcing them to be that way.
Basically, the less hot you are, the less value you have as a human being.
