I cannot for the life of me think why there should be an inquest ten years after the event. What new evidence is there? A lot of people will make a lot of money out of this once more and it will end up with the same result - she died as a result of a traffic accident. Fayed will never accept this and will go to his grave still moaning that his son was murdered on the instructions of Prince Phillip.

Oh, so because they are dead it doesn't really matter now? TOO LATE! let's not worry about what happened to cause the accident and deaths.
The family have the right to push for a inquiry and to clarify all circumstances and put their views.
Princess Diana stated she thought she was going to be killed in a car crash which would be made out to be an accident. A member of staff not that sympathetic to Diana said 'she could be half right' to her lawyer at the time.
I DONT BELIEVE IT WAS ANYTHING OTHER THAN AN ACCIDENT - BUT IT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED THOROUGHLY AND IMPARTIALLY.

I am not a Diana fan at all, but I think it is a disgrace that celebrities are harassed and hounded by paparazzi in such a manner and they get away with it. Some time back PETA folks were protesting aganist the way Walmart ships there lobsters, saying it causes pain & shock to the lobsters. I mean guys are going crazy over lobsters and here humans are being harassed and hounded and it is legal !! Look at Britney. She is a less-than-averagely intelligent girl who got lucky because she sings well. So what's surprising if she does a few stupid things now and then. Can't we just let them live ??

I wish she could rest in peace, her sons are the ones who will be feeling this more than anyone. I believe it was just tragic accident, however, if there is a chance that foul play was involved then it should be investigated. What i don't get is ,if they are so desperate to know if she was pregnant or not at the time of her death, why don't they just exhume her? Unpleasant I know but if they want answers, then that's the way to go.

Isn't this the third investigation into her death? How many more do we need? No matter how many times her death is ruled an accident, we will always have those people out there who will not accept the truth, the ones with the conspiracy theories, who can't accept that even princesses can die young. She was young, glamorous, rich and died before her time. But it happens. Now let her rest in peace, and more to the point, give the rest of us peace!

There was an investigation at the time, as there would have been for anybody. It should have ended there.
However rich somebody is, they should not be allowed to make a mockery of the justice system and keep on wanting new inquests 10 YEARS later, until they get the answer they want.

hey Davey Mc. :)
It isn't so much that I don't give a toss about the circumstances re Diana's death ... BUT MORE SO that I don't give a Toss about the tossers THAT keep going on and on and on and on and on ( add at least another 45 *on and on*'s ) about how THEY had HER KILLED ....
and all the other conspiracy BULLSHYTE crappola...
and all these people who write as IF they KNEW her, charles and the other *players* in the tragedy .. personally, and as IF they have a PERSONAL INSITE to how these people really are ....
when ALL in fact that they are doing is partaking in mallicious nasty gossip.

Yeah the damned paparazzi can't even show enough respect to let her rest in peace.
Think it is about time they had a paparazzi hunting season with like maybe the celebrities getting paparazzi tags like we buy deer tags. Say set the bag limit at two paparazzi per hunter.

When I heard of her death my first thought was, shame that Charles and the children weren't with her.
I see the entire royal family as spongers on society.
Time for a republic of England.
