Since what is conspicuous consumption is in the eye of the beholder, no such data exist. You could define certain items as conspicuous consumption, and get sales data on them. I have always thought putting granite counter tops, which will last a thousand years, in a house that will not last more than a 100 would qualify but many people would disagree.

I think that the technical definition of conspicuous consumption is when the demand for a product goes up as the price goes up. You probably want to look for data on luxury goods like expensive champagne, designer clothes, perfume, cosmetics, and so on.
