When Saying: Earth, is a planet!. or planet earth.When a descriptive word is in front of earth!, lovely earth!
The earth revolves around the sun!.When saying something that the earth does!, or facts about it!

Earth by itself--capitalized or not--usually refers to the soil we walk on. The Earth refers to our home planet.

Examples--"The earth under his feet was red and clay-like in texture."
"The planet Earth is third from the sun. " Or: "Geology is the study of the rocks, minerals, and textures that make up the Earth."
