Who would be against child support?

If you make a child, you are partially responsible for the expenses associated with raising him/her.

it's both common sense and basic decency.

I'm all for it, because my child needs food and clothing.

However my child's deadbeat dad seems to be against it cause I haven't seen a dime from him!

I'm for it because I have firsthand experience in what it's like to be the kid whose dad skips town and stops paying. People who do that are the absolute scum of the earth.

Years later, right after I married, he wrote to ME to tell me he was getting his life together and needed money because he didn't have enough to live on and couldn't afford to eat. I reminded him he hadn't displayed much concern about what his children were eating and left him to his own devices.

Im for it. The way I see it is it takes two people to make a kid, and two people should raise that kid whether they are there in person or just supporting the kid financially. It makes people take responsibility whether they want to or not.
