The Religious or social visionaries most definitely. Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, Mother Teresa, all are household names. Combinations of religious and poet are good choices too (Rumi) but even Rumi is not quiet a household name. At least in popular society and who is known. For a warrior most warriors are not Household names, even for instance the greatest general. Vanderbilt and such were the wealthiest in the United States, some still are hugely wealthy, but are not a household name.
Poets are underappreciated and are no longer household names, though people learn them in schools they often forget the names of many poets. A lot of people I know have not heard of
Bill Gates is known while he is alive, but will be reduced to "The founder of Microsoft and former richest man in the world" unless he leaves some great charitable legacy that even exceeds the Carnegies and Vanderbilts who are no longer "Household" names. For instance Warren Buffett is not a household name that many people on the street would know of. Most people don't know who the Richest People in the world are.
Most people are famous who cross the lines. Donald Trump has become a television personality for example.

Sir Walter Raleigh was all five.
In Ancient Greek times, the main source of immortality was to have an epic poem written about you. Usually warriors.
It is not always the best pople who are remembered longest; sometimes it is those who did the most harm.

There are many examples of each; I'll give you one for starters:
Alexander (the Great), Robert Frost, Mother Teresa, Bill Gates, Billy Graham.
Each is remembered for different things... all will be remembered in history.

Anyone of those people could be and have been remembered throughout history. It's basically to see who you identify with, who you would pick. And they forgot to add in Doctors. Imhotep was an ancient Egyptian doctor, he was also a high Priest, the Pharohs Vizer, and an archetect.
It's up to you to choose one and then back up your reasons.

"History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it" Winston Churchill. It depends on what history you are talking about. What is "true history"? Every history ever written is from a point of view. From a perspective. In short, history will remeber those who write/create it.
