Life is boring, and dull, things are very predictable, people are selfish and just take advantage of you when then can. Money is people's only motivation, and good friends/people I believe are too hard to find. It seems as though death takes this away, and the absence is better than what is on the table right now, so why do people fear death, isnt our goal peace and ignorance anyways? Im an able human being, I have my full health and am thankful for the everything I have, just wondering if anyone has though this way. Thanks for reading!

Just to let you people know, I have had a pretty exciting life and seen alot, I just drove cross country and moved out on a whim 3000 miles, I do these things with very little thought, because being ignorant of details gives me peace, so Im wondering since death is the apex of ignorance, why do people fear it, and not naturally want it, and in wanting it live life more for themselves, and do what you want to do for yourself?

no one is ever truly at peace. it is not possible. there will always be something however small worrying or disturbing us for some reason we are still on the earth anyway.
meaning that the true reason for our living is not the conclusion you have come too. keep living!

Frankly, I think you are depressed. Life can be extremely painful, and many people have wanted to end it all because of that, but that is not what you say. It is the fact that you find life so boring, even though you say you are in good health and have what you need, that tips me off that you are depressed. Lots of things are wrong with life, but it isn't boring at all. In fact, it is far too short to allow a person to pursue very many of the fascinating things that are there.
I get the impression that you are too involved with other people. Perhaps they are greedy, and predictable, and banal. So what does that have to do with you? As David Riesman pointed out several decades ago, Americans are too other-directed. Don't just be satisfied with making blanket statements about what "everyone" is "like," go out and find some serious books that deal with this issue. (And you won't find them in the current crop of best sellers, I can guarantee that!)
Most people who feel as you do eventually turn to one of the arts for true solace. If you don't like the current movies, watch some old ones, or foreign ones. Watch all the films of a director you admire, then watch that director's favorite films. If you're sick of television, don't watch. If you don't like what's on the radio, go back to Coltrane, or Miles Davis, or Laura Nyro, or early Clapton. Or try Bach. Seriously. Read some Kerouac. Listen to Glenn Gould. (They didn't only care about money.) Go to an art museum. Then take a class and learn how to draw and paint. Or get yourself a keyboard and learn jazz harmony. Or pick up a guitar.
You get the idea.

sometimes I get sick of the people around me and wonder what the meaning of life is, my friends cut their wrists or smoke themselves stupid with pot so the can't comprehend more than a sentence, and here I am, I don't fit in any social group, just living life wondering what the heck is up with the world, people call me for money, when I tell them no they don't call until they figure I might have some, people are sad, selfish beings , really I guese I'm just looking for excitement, purpose and people that truly live life, that have some morale guidelines, have a perspective on life that ensues appreciation and understanding and are intelligent and are true friends, right now I am sick of the world and how blind and dull the people are, I guese it's because I went through a lot in this 16 years of my life and am extremly wise for my age and see the error and problems in the world around me a belittle those promoting it silently, like I said I'm just living life, searching, always searching for that thing that will grant me universal freedom, and ultimatly that will be death. Wow sorry for my long rant, if nothing else my lack of periods and meaningless banter has satisfied someone's boredom.

i think just like you said at the begining you are bored but it isnt your time until it is, anyway you need to make life more interesting try leaving your fishbowl, make a list of daring, dangerous, risky, exciting things to do like visit egypt or skydive or have sex with a moscow hooker unprotected lol see what you can do to spice things up and do them in the order in which you write them down even add things that just arent normally thought of like going to the deli and getting 50 sandwiches then going to a place like central park and handing them out to the homeless that can excite you and get you thinking about life in a different way, the point is if you do something that is different or has a potential to be life threatning like moutain climbing a near death experience usually wakes people up! and if all that fails and you still want to die go to a lab and offer yourself as a guinea pig for whatever they are testing at least you can save some animals and you wont be total waste lol

I understand. I am a Christian and have longer to be rid of this world. BUt money's is not everyone's motivation, good friends/people are out there, life is not always boring, not always predictable, not everyone is selfish all of the time. For those reasons, it is worth sticking around just to see if you can be the one to discover those people. You will die one day anyway. But why rush?

You haven't felt Life, or Love, fully. Stop philosophizing, get out and 'Do'. Sure life's full of ugliness, but just swallow the pill, cos it is a roller coaster & good(GREAT) things will also come along. You know this !. just live a little. When your times up, let fate worry about that, lets get on with it for now. c ya around.

Not exactly like you are saying, it but yes... I can understand what you are saying.
I am reasonably healthy, and have everything I require. I don't really desire anything, but still have goals. Life is good, but the feeling of wanting to go home... to be in the presence of God...

This shows that you are collapsing from within. At this point, you need fortification from within. I suggest that you take refuge in Indian Philosophy, and there shall be many Gurus around to guide you. What you feel and what you are trying to justify taking apparent refuge in Phil;ososphy is akin to escapism.Take care.
