Your bios ship is dead. Although it does work, it is not saving the changes. You can either try and flash (upgrade) the bios, or get another from the manufacturer, or get a replacement motherboard.
When this happens, (bios failing to save) yo are left with very few options.

You might want to check your battery housing to make certain the battery is seating properly and making good contact.

I think what is not saving is your CMOS, incidentally, and not your BIOS. Clean your battery and check to make sure it is still good and make sure it is properly positioned in the housing. And try saving again.

If nothing works you may need to consider a new motherboard or a new computer.

3 things cause this
1 battery
2 system bios is password protected
3 you have a jumper on your motherboard that prevents (locks) your bios from being changed

you will need to find the jumper on the motherboard to unlock your bios it seems.
