Can anyone explain how projectile motion works. Give me some formulas. Some webpages also. Thanks.

The basic things to remember (for free-fall projectiles) are:

The vertical acceleration is g downwards, and only affects the vertical position of the projectile.

The horizontal velocity is independent of the vertical velocity and is the same throughout the projectile flight.

Vertical position is given by y0 + vy0*t - 0.5*g*t^2
Horizontal position is given by x0 +vx0*t

The starting point is x0, y0 and intial vertical velocity is vy0, initial horizontal velocity is vx0. t is time.

just start with F=ma and start deriving and doing a little calculus and stuff and you will figure it out.
