They make a lot more than the typical US military soldier, but unless you're ex-military yourself, and elite forces specifically, you won't be accepted. Not that you care, right? You're just making a hateful political comment, anyway.

That's sick: My grandson was in the Air Force for eight years, was one of the first to go into Basra under heaving fire. Although he was an electrician he was given a rifle and told to "help" they were under such heavy fire, they took very heavy casualties.
After five months with the Army Rangers he was put back on his duty with the Air Force as an Electrician. After his two years in Iraq he came home.

He thought his duty to the Iraq's wasn't done so, he went back after signing up with a civilian contractor. I argued with him. As a Master Electrician he was making $125,000 a year here, he was offered $125,000.00 a year over there....for the money you say, right.

Your sick and tired of this legal war, what have you done for your country, I know your complaining, I can see that, my grandson is in his third year over there.
Can I ask you, what have you done for your country.

I put in two tours in 'Nam was wounded twice, went right back in the front lines, my father was wounded in France. We all did our duty for our country.

It's funny but, every time I ask this question of someone that's complaining, no one answers. Instead of asking what your country can do for you, ask, what can you do for your country?

I don't know what the merceneries are getting but, the tradesmen, the carpenters, the elecricians, the ironworkers, by the way, my two brothers-in-law are there as ironworkers for the same wages and, their two cousins, for the same wages.
My cousin is a grader operator and works there for a civilian contractor, same wages. I'm not bashing you, I'm saying, get your facts straight.

Go to your nearest Military base and ask for overseas duty with a civilian contractor, after four months of training, they'll send you there, by the way, no weapons are allowed. Your on your own.
