i feel it is a personal choice. and I do not feel the gov. has a right getting involve with all these stupid rules. now in my state their is a smoke wide smoking band in all indoor places. I feel that is wrong. If a person owns a bar and wants their customers to smoke then it should be up to the bar owner. We are no longer a free country. We under dictatorship. We are being told what we can and cant do. They want to band cell phones from cars. Some states already have. They tell us what time liquor store had to close and that they can not be open on Sundays. The gov is forgetting about all the tax money the receive from the smokers. I believe the smokers make a big contribution to the gov with the high smoke tax. So smoking is bad for you. Maybe it is maybe it is not. Well fast food is bad for you also. Are they going to put a band on fast food eating. Pop is bad for you are they going to put a high tax on pop. We are being dicated about everything. We are no longer the home of the free. I use to be a smoker quit June 1 2007. It was a personal choice I made. I do not mind people who smoke. It is their choice. The gov. is trying to put these tobaco farmers out of buisness. Then who will make up for the lack of tax from no cigerette sales. Then they will just add higher taxes onto everything else. If a person wants to smoke it is there right. If a buisness owner wants to allow smoking the gov has no right in telling them no. Now they are trying to band smoking in vehicles. I find that to be so stupid. They make us wear our seat belts. WHich may not be a bad thing to do. But it is the point.

Hate anything to do with it! I don't understand how anyone can breathe in smoke in place of oxygen. I need the fresh air. But I can understand that some people have become addicted to it and I feel for them. Unfortunately, for me, and for them, everyone around me, has been a smoker. My parents were smokers when I grew up. Both my grown children are smokers, My present husband smokes. (I wish he wouldn't for several reasons, including his health.). I've been married before and they all smoked, also. My family doctor has told me that my lungs are the same as those of a smoker and did not believe me when I told him that I HAVE NEVER SMOKED A DAY IN MY LIFE. I am a prime example of 2ND hand smoke! :o(

I like having the freedom to choose whether I want to smoke or not. I don't judge people if they smoke or not and I would never try to talk someone into the idea of smoking. but i smoke.

I think it's disgusting. One of my family members was just diagnosed with bladder cancer a few days ago which was caused by smoking. My grandma died a few years ago from lung cancer which spread through her body because of smoking. Now my mom and dad are both trying to quit so they are not next. PLEASE do not start! If you don't start you will never have to quit, and it's NOT easy to quit. Plus, everything you own will stink like smoke, your teeth will turn yellow and you will age faster. Smoking does NOT make you look cool.

people have been doing it for hundreds if not thousands of years. i think that it's a human custom that is not going to stop. additive free cigarettes are the way to go though, no harmful chemicals. just good old tobacco.
