DAM are the initials for David Adams M. That one would be out the window for me for that reason. Kids will be making fun and bugging the heck out of him over that name. If you're ok with that then that's fine. I wouldn't be.

♥ I think its wonderful that you are naming your first son after his deceased brother. My fiance and I are naming our first son after my deceased cousin [[whom I was very close to]]. :-) Its a wonderful meaning that your son [[when old enough]] will love to hear all about.

♥ As for the middle name... personally I like David Adam better [[just without the s]]. David Jacob is cute as well. Why not just let him have 2 middle names? David Jacob Adam or David Adam Jacob? This way you are using both names and they still sound wonderful together! :-)

Good Luck and Congratulations!

David Jacob Mobley DJM is better than David Adams ( DAM ) not good initals. I think the name David is a bit out dated, I would switch them around. Like Jacob David or Adam David.
But if you must go with DJM.

I think you should swap the first and middle name, e.g. Adam David or Jacob David. Personally I prefer Adam David. But when your son is born I'm sure one name will be more preferential! Good Luck!

I love David but not David Adams the names spell DAM, you don't want that. I don't like Jacob either, my father was David Paul, I think that has a nice ring to it.

When choosing my children's names I tried to listen to it out loud and make sure it sounded good, as if you were yelling from the front porch or calling out across the schoolyard. Then I looked at the initials to make sure it did not make any thing my child could be teased about. You have DJM and DAM with the latter being a potentially damaging combination. Then I looked at how nick names worked into the equation. Not many nick names with Adam but you have Jake, Jakey,( achy breaky, fakey) or cubby and all the combos that rhyme with it. Dave and Davey ( wavy, gravy , in the navy, etc.)I am guessing that David Is set as the first name....because you could always go with Jacob Adam if you are in a JAM
