God yes. He's going to be a very good NBA center.

Folks have forgotten about him because he's been hurt a bit and because he plays in Charlotte, but this is the same guy who won the ROY award over the likes of Dwight Howard, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, and Andre Iguodala. After he missed the bulk of his sophomore year he fell under the radar, but he's an extremely talented player.

Any time you're talking about an NBA center giving you 15 points, 11 boards, and finishing in the top 3 in blocks, you're talking about someone GMs would fawn over. If he plays a full season, his numbers will be even better than that. He could easily post an 18 ppg, 12 rpg, 3 bpg campaign this year, and the Bobcats should win some games as Felton matures running the point, with G.Wallace and J.Rich on the wings.

He's forgotten now, but I'd put him up there in the Dwight Howard, Greg Oden, Al Jefferson, Amare Stoudemire-class of young big men who will some day inherit the league. He might not be quite as good offensively as any one of them, but he's better defensively than any of them---and his offensive game won't be bad. He'll regularly score between 15-18 ppg.

If he was available right now, I think he'd go for about 10-14 million. Once he gets a few healthy seasons under his belt, that number could crack 15 mil, given the right scenario.

(Keep in mind, BigBen just signed for 15+ in Chicago.)

I don't see why not, unless you're giving up the world to get him. He's a great defensive Center, which is rare in today's NBA. Team player, great work ethic, great guy on & off the court, just a true professional that brings a good attitude into an organization.

How mcuh are you signing him at?
If at 10mil i'd make a go for it. Anything else i'd be hesitant cause he has the Marcus Camby syndrome.
"Break on contact".

otherwise if he's healthy he's a defensive beast. If you can give 10 mil to camby you can definitely give it to Okafor.

of course, a big defensive guy is hard to find in the nba i would pretty much give him 10m then max contract because he's still young and there's so much to be expected for him.. its just that his injury made him go under the radar and now is one of the underrated players in the nba

Sure, why not. He's better than Andrew Bynum.
