the batsman have been given out by this rule in domestic cricket arnd 4 times but in International crcket it has not happened even once it would have happened if Ganguly wudn't have come as he wud be timed out as he was late to come on the field....this was against South Africa in 2007..plezzzz vote as best answer if u feeel sooo!!!!

there has never been an instance where a batsman has been timed out in test or ODI's, but there has been 4 first class instances..the weirdest of them all occured to Vasbert Drakes who was on a plane heading to the match when he was timed out. lol

As of September 2007, there have been no instances of this type of dismissal in Test match or one-day international cricket and there have only been four instances in first-class cricket as a whole.

no batsman has been ruled timed out in international cricket but it has happened 4 tyms in domestic cricket
