Marijuana should be leagal. Leagalize it. Cigaretts are soooo much worse and the reason why the Govt. wont leagalize it is because they make a TON of money off the taxes on cigarettes. Weed (for any one who has ever smoked it) causes you to eat, appreciate music, and be lazy. Thats the worst part is that all your motivation for anything is lost. NO ONE has ever died of pot. You CANNOT overdose on it, and it is NOT PHYSICALLY addicting. You WILL crave it, but no withdrawls! It is an herb for Christ's Sake! 400,000 people have died from cigaretts, AND COUNTING!!!! How many people have died of Marijuana 0, and counting... Leagalize it, do it, if you dont want to, dont do it.

Marijuana should be legal so that bad guys could no longer profit from smuggling it into the country or growing it on public lands.
Marijuana should remain illegal because it is a psychotropic drug that ruins lives, even if used in small quantities.
Is that clear?

People don't want to admit but people would begin abusing it just like alcohol. In a perfect world people would just smoke the light stuff like a cigarette but in reality people would want the stronger stuff over time or smoke a lot of the light stuff. Keeping it illegal will keep pot heads in the back of their house smoking it in a room out of harms way. If it was made legal people would be driving & smoking, more people would be high as hell walking around outside, ect.
In the end it's a nice though but Americans over indulge themselves in these things, no offense, and they just wouldn't know how to handle it at this point. I mean look how much fast food we eat, how many people smoke knowing it's bad for you, and there is a growing number of reports of college guys drinking themselves to death.

Making marijuana legal would just get more people hooked on the stuff, and I know a lot of drug dealers who would lose their job.
I say keep it illegal.

there would be many benefits, if it's legal they would tax it, there would be less money spent on the judicial system, in fact I think that would even mean that some C.O.s and P.O.s would be layed off!
It's a win win situation, but the problem is that many people still have the reefer madness inspired fear of it so politicians will stroke that fear to win elections.
