First of all, I pay my taxes including business permits etc. which provide a certain percentage to the country's coffers. Not much but I hope it counts towards making the country a bit financially stable. That is, if the government uses taxpayers' money wisely. Then, I don't do drugs. I stay away from anything that will give our country, my city and the barangay that I live in a bad repute. I throw my trash in its proper bin so that garbage collectors won't have difficulty collecting it. And lastly, I do my share of cleaning up my space (in-between neighbors). Does all the above count as my contribution to making the nation a better place for everyone?

• paid the correct taxes
• paid the fines (eg. traffic violation)
• submitted reports early to government agencies
• renewed permits and licenses ahead of time (to avoid giving grease money)
• obeyed all government rules and regulations (except in extreme cases) If I will be told by the higher ups to do otherwise. (part of my profession)
• been with 'problems' of society nearly half of my life to convince them to be better citizens.
• been with juvenile kids also for the past 15 years. (more than half of the are working now)
• as much as possible, did not give grease money to government people.

How about contributions that made it worst? lol.

Being a role model for respecting others, building others up(my felllow countrymen) instead of putting them down. This, my friend, is my petty but noble contribution.

I travel at least once a year to the Philippines and spend my hard earned cash there... that somewhat boosts the economy.

Plus, I tip a lot.
