In the film, Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) has an interaction with the Silver Surfer enabling him to switch powers with another person. Towards the end, he aquires the power of all members of the F4, BUT, why doesn't he switch powers with Dr. Doom when he is wrapped around him? They were all affected with the same meteor shower, so why didn't he switch with him??

OMG!

You actually watched the entire movie?!?

That movie was SO HORRIBLE!

They have Dr. Doom riding Silver Surfer's surfboard for christ's sake!

And why, if Dr. Doom is like Lex Luthor (very smart with NO powers, just a suit of armor) did they fin dit necessary to turn him into Magneto?

That's just bullspit!

But to answer your question I really think it was their lazy azz way of trying to do a spin on the Super Skrull who also had all 4 of the FF's powers, and was one of their major villains back in the day.

I'm pretty sure the power is activated a la rogue from x-men. I don't think he touched him with his bare hands, and besides just because he didn't use dooms crappy powers doesn't mean he didn't gain them.

These people were kind enough to answer, yet some moron gave them all thumbs down.
I gave them all thumbs up for some very good answers.

To answer your question, he did use Dr. Doom's powers. He became as gay as Dr. Doom.

Maybe the positive emotional connection he has for his group allows the switch.

I guess it was something to do with his friendship with the others.

It's a plot hole...
