Not to sound cold or anything but:
A. You chose to do what you did.
B. It was 10 years ago!
Don' t file a lawsuit. Learn from your mistakes, hopefully you can get over the pain and suffering, without acting out in a legally agressive way. What he did was not right, but I dont think going to court now is the answer.
Just my opinion.

You can file a complaint anytime you want, for anything.
Whether it will hold up in court is another matter. It sounds like you want revenge or something. The only reason you seem to want to file charges is because now you regret it.
Did you enjoy having sex with him? Forget about whether you were young and stupid. Either you enjoyed it at the time, or you didn't.
Really, just put it behind you. It was ten years ago - and a guy at 18 isn't the most mature person in the world, either. You were both young and stupid. He was more stupid than you, frankly.
But holding onto this isn't going to remove your regret. You were a different person then, and so was he.

Is this a serious question? Are you so ruined over this that 10 years later you want to charge him? or is there something else going on RIGHT now that has nothing to do with that guy. I don't doubt you were hurt from this, but it's in the past now. MOVE ON!
Think a little harder about your decisions. If your past decision ruined your life, wouldn't a future decision have potential to ruining someone else's ?
Further more, Regretting it now? You didn't when it happened? Did you say yes, back then? Were you involved in a relationship, back then? A bigger question you should be asking is, "why did I do nothing, before?"
and any way the cap for charges is 7 years.

I am a male virgin and im 40. even though you have lost your viginity you can still reclaim a part of it back in 3 ways. One is to be chast again and to wait till marriage and for your soulmate. 2 regain a partr of your innocence by softening your heart. You can do this by any unselfish act of kindness, whether its for your neighbor or for some homeless person u never met before. 3. you must regain your innocence in the way u think of the opposite gender.
When u can do all of these things you will be a born again virgin from within and ready to regive your spiritual virginity to
your soulmate again.:)

No honey, you have to arrange the money by other means. It's impossible to prove at this stage that you had sex with him at 14 and not at, say,16 or 18.Why not forget about it and live a happy life?

he might of been taking advantage but its too late now. living with regret sucks but like you said you were young and when your young you make stuipid choices. YOU LIVE AND YOU LEARN. you could teach other girls not to make decisions without thinking them through. **** happends. whats important is the lesson you learned and are able to pass on to others.

if you did it willingly, it wasn't rape. that's kinda bitchy to do that to him 10 years later just because you regret having sex that young. i lost my virginity a week before i turned 16..and yes i regret it...but i'm not gonna be like, oh, i regret this so i'm gonna go report it as rape and get him to go to jail for something 10 years ago that didn't even happen.......
let it go.

its a little too late to be pressing charges! im sure everyone on Yahoo Answers has done something in their lifetime that they regretted and wish they could take back, myself included, but its life. you gotta live and learn. more importantly take responsibility for what you did or did not do. youll be a better person for it!

let me see if I have this correct...you want to label someone as a RAPIST because you regret a decision that you made? are you f***ing nuts?!? not only is that wrong, but, I would seriously question whether or not you should be in any relationships. your regrets might result in criminal charges for a lot of men out there...I'm scared for them.
