Well personally, I don't worry too much because I am a Christian and God says fear is not from Him.
But I do fear for our country right now....we have been going steadily downhill for a number of years...and there is no country that can take the kind of abuse on everything that made us strong, forever.
We were a strong country because of integrity, and making decisions based on firm values....they are being attacked all around us, and not upheld....and men of wisdom are scarce.
Without leaders who love our country more than personal power, we are in big trouble and I fear for my grandchildren...what their life will be like.
And there is probably a reason why you don't like the dark...maybe from your childhood. We do tend to outgrow those fears as we get older....some fear storms, lightening, loud noises, etc. I had nightmares for years just about my years in school and weird things like forgetting my locker combinations and not making class on time.
Don't worry about yours...just be prepared for it...someone else can always go with you, or turn on the light ahead of you....that is a pretty easy one to deal with. Elevators, and heights, or going out among people could be worse. We can't always tell what causes them.

I'm afraid of getting robbed, mugged, shot, beat up, hit in a car, etc. etc. Anything that will harm me-- I get really freaked out just thinking about it. I constantly fear that it is going to happen.
