Yes, I can appreciate it. I was at an art museum, and there was a corner of the museum that had nothing but Holocaust paintings. A lot of them were very gruesome, but they had good messages in the art.

Thats the best in general. Why would you appreciate art that has no emotion or character. And the most controversial art is the stuff that will speak volumes forever.

Yes and I like that kind of art also because it's deeper and meaningful and life isn't all lollipops and rainbows anyway.
Most of my poetry is quite dark as well.
