Who remembers a few years ago when OLTL and AMC were sort of running together because Kelly kidnapped Babe Chandlers baby after hers died. Todd was fully aware of what she did and pretended the child was his(even though he never slept with her)just to get back at Blair and Kevin(his nephew). I just cant accept that just because he loves his kids and that this is his biological child he "deserves" him. However does Tommy deserve Todd(poor child has 2 psychopathic, rapist parents) Here is a list of SOME of Todd's past trangressions(think about it when u talk about how immoral Mike is)Raped Marty Saybrooke
Terrorized Nora in a beach house when Nora was blind
Caused Suede Pruitt's death by pushing him and causing Suede to hit his head
Kidnapped Rebecca Lewis
Raped Carol Swift
Tried to rape Marty again (outside Rodi's, Luna hit him with a lead pipe to protect Marty and that's how he got his scar)
Escaped from prison
Killed Guy Armitage by blowing up his yacht
Shot at R.J.

Yes, Todd is a hypocrite! But aren't most people on the soaps hypocrites? I can truly understand how you feel about Todd! There are several hypocrites on the soaps that I detest, like Jason "Brain-Dead" Morgan but what can you do? The writer's try to make Morgan look like a God, regardless of his hypocrisy! As far as Todd, It's unfortunate that is how the writers have the character portrayed...Yes, Todd Manning is a bad boy but I could not imagine that character being any other way...And despite all Todd has done and all the mud slinging the McBains did to try to keep Tommy...I bet the judge will deem Todd the legal parent of Tommy and award him custody of this child that he DID NOT willingly give up...

If you pay attention to the interaction between Todd/Starr and Todd/Jack you can see he is capable of love...He loves his children unconditionally...That is clearly evident and I believe it will be NO different with Todd/Tommy (I really hope he changes that child's name)!

I'm sorry - I'm just having a real problem with the people who defend the character Todd Manning. I don't know how many of you remember the original actor, Roger Howarth, but one of the reasons he quit the first time was how they were trying to "redeem" Todd. As he said, Todd is *not* a nice guy, and regardless of how many so-called good deeds he performs, he's still a bad guy. Yeah, he went to save Patrick, and he saved Jessica, but he's also raped more than one woman, he's responsible for the death of a man (and he never even did time for that one, at least I don't remember him doing time), he's kidnapped a woman, he's blackmailed so many people I don't even remember who they all are. And lest we forget - when he thought that Jack was Max's baby (and remember that Blair told him that lie to keep him from knowing that Jack was his because she was afraid of him and his obsessions), he told Blair the baby was dead, and gave him to David Vickers to sell. You can defend him all you want to, but the fact is the character Todd Manning is, was, and will always be the character from he**. That's how he's written, and that's how he is.

Todd can be a hypocrite but he still loves his children. Todd isn't the horrible person he used to be, he has changed. Todd is an amazing parent and I believe he truly loves Tommy as much as he loves Starr and Jack. And what Mike did is wrong. He's lied to his wife for months and kept a child away from his grieving father.

Omg...I couldn't begin to tell you how much I hate Todd. The actor AND the character. There are bad boys, but I liked evil Spencer Truman better than Todd.

All these things are true. However,he also saved Marty and Patrick's lives in Ireland. He is a good parent to Starr and Jack.I don't know of any parent in the soap opera world who is perfect. If Marcy & Michael really believed they were the best parents for Tommy they would not have taken so many low blows at Todd(who never gave up his son). Also,in my eyes they are just as bad as Todd(at least Michael is) as he has used other people to do their dirty work to keep Tommy(Rex,John,Adriana,Lindsay). When Lindsay was arrested for Trumans murder Michael could have cared less-he was only interested in making sure she didn't tell his secret. He didn't care if John lost his badge as long as he and Marcy got to keep Tommy.I think this is a bad storyline anyway as when Marcy was dying the angels told her she had to live to give birth to her daughter(Gabrielle). Now all of a sudden she can't have kids?

Yes he is a BIG hypocrite. He has done so many bad things we have all lost count! In the beginning he didn't want this kid and called it the child of 2 rapists. Kids are possesions to him and it is all about winning.

Hypocrite is a mild word to describe Todd. Sociopath comes to mind. He's just like OJSimpson - thinks he "deserves" everything.
