OK , enough with these stupid rumors . Florida has the same ammount of old people as any other state . I live in Boca Raton and don't notice a high population of old people . And what about the redneck rumor ? Who is the asshole that started this one ? Florida has the same redneck population as any other state , damn it ! And again , I don't notice them having any high populations and also don't see any trailer parks . I think this rumor was started by a dumbass probably from New Jersey or New York that doesn't like Florida . Let's face it , Florida would woop the crap out of New York ! You can't even imagine how annoying these stupid rumors are to hear online .

These rumors are the ones that are true .

-Drug problem

-hookers

-night clubs

-big cities

-nice beaches

Actually my dad ran retirement homes and I can say for a fact that there is a larger population of elderly in Florida than in most states. They have entire communities, not just retirement or nursing homes, just for retirees. They are attracted by the warm weather and not having to shovel snow.
I don't know about rednecks, but I lived in Florida for several years and almost every person I met who was native to the state had multiple piercings and tattoos. And I saw plenty of trailer parks despite the hurricane risk, though not more than I've seen in other states.
People in general seem to be dumber and lazier there, especially anyone employed to answer office phones. It's called FloriDUH for a reason!
The beaches are indeed nice.

It is God's Waiting Room.

And I have been in Florida (hopefully NEVER again) and I saw plenty of trailer parks, drug deals, OLD geezers and awful drivers. Plus a large population of hill billies (The person who "started" that little FACT was your ex-redneck governor who is a sibling of one of the biggest rednecks in the world.)....or do you call them swamp rats?

I have eyes and ears and they were in perfect working condition when I was there.

Don't try to convince me otherwise, Florida is a gross place and will be for years. Karma.

Other reason people hate Florida? Katherine Harris and her shenanigans come to mind. I blame you idiots partly for the quagmire this country is stuck in.

Thanks for the war, *******. if it weren't for you and your governor and his hired gun (Harris) at the time, the guy who actually WON the presidency in 2000would have just had us in Afghanistan where we needed to be....remember where Osama was??????

All of you deserve ALL the criticism you get.

Now hush up and go ride the tea-cup ride,

And while you're at it, go through Epcot and learn about some place that is outside the Florida and US Borders....that is the only way you fools will do it.

im from manhattan and ive traveled all over ur state so let me tell u some things abt ur state u apparently dont know. first let me say i was in ocean ridge for 2 months this summer so i know exactly where u are. theres more old ppl in boynton beach than in any other place i ever been in my life and i been just about everywhere. my mother is a set designer and when i was little she use to take me all over creation when she couldnt find nobody to watch me so i seen like every part of the country and some other countries too.
north florida like up near gainesville is redneck city!!! most ppl outside the cities there live in a trailer. its the normal thing. if u dont believe me then check out these towns: steinhatchee, cross city, perry, iddo, eridu, old town, fanning springs, chiefland, trenton, crystal river, homossassa... and thats like maybe a tenth of the ones i had to stay near one time. trust me its nothin but hillbillies up there. southeast florida makes up a small percentage of the land area in that state. the east coast in general is a long chain of cities and urban areas but once you get away from the east coast its like redneck land!!! and of course its fulla old farts, the weather there is great!! check out citydata.com (i think thats the site) and look up the percentage of older ppl livin in se florida, boca boy. btw did you know ur town is the mouth of the rat in spanish???
and dont diss on nyc sucka unless u wanna come up here and do it. bc u know i'll come down there! i already been down there!!

Dude, chill out. Most seniors retire and move to Florida.Trust me, I live in Maine, most old folks get the hell outta here as soon as they can and go packing to the much warmer south.
