I had that same problem. I Ovulate on my own and am very regular. Seriously every 28days. My first month on clomid I didn't ovulate until CD 19 (9days after last pill), and AF was also late CD 31. This month on Clomid I ovulated on CD17(7 days after last pill). I asked my doctor about it and she said while on Clomid you should expect to Ovulate anywhere between CD 11-20, but usually between CD 16-19. She said the change is because we are messing with our hormones.
Also pay close attention to the lines on OPK. The whole line doesn't have to be as dark or darker than control, only part of the line has to be. I was told only 1/2 the line had to be as dark or darker. For some reason mine only ever shows one side of line darker than than control. Good luck!

RE:
How long after the last Clomid pill should I ovulate?
This is my first cycle on Clomid. It's now been 7 days since my last pill and I have not ovulated...at least i have not turned an opk anything close to positive. I was ovulating on my own every month around day 14. I was prescribed Clomid for unexplained infertility/possible luteal phase...

I am taking clomid as well, u should be expecting to ovulate 5 -10 days after the last pill, but not everyone ovulates on clomid, if u dont ovulate this month ya dr would upper the dose, or if u are going to ovulate it might be lil later in the cycle

After your last Clomid pill you will ovulate anywhere from 5-10 days. You are still within that range, so ovulation is just around the corner for you. I hope you're having sex, because this is definitely your fertile time. You should be getting a positive OPK in the next day or so. You may be ovulating later in your cycle because of the medication. Hang in there...everything should be okay.
Good luck!

I am taking it on days 5-9. So I will most likely ovulate some where between 14-16. I am going in for an ultrasound on day 15 to see if I have ovulated, or if I am going to. So really you could ovulate between days 12-18. So Ill say what my doctor said, have sex everyday from days 10-20. And if you want an extra tip take 2tbls of Robitussin each day from day 11-16. That is supposed to make the cervical fluid better for the sperm to live in. That is what I am going to try. I have heard that it works! I have done LOTS of research so trust me on what I have said. Good Luck to you!!

you should ovulate, as clomid helps a person ovulate, and if you do already ovulate to boost ovulation. my doctor had given it to me to boost ovulation when I was trying for my 2nd. you should ovulate any day now. good luck.

Clomid is an non-steroid anti-estrogen. Mechanism of its action consists in a specific binding with receptor for estrogen in ovary and hypophis. In patients with low estrogen levels in organism it causes estrogen effect and in ones with high estrogen levels it causes anti-estrogen effect. Its small doses increase secretion of gonadotropins (prolactin, Follicle stimulating hormone, FSH and interstitial cell-stimulating hormone), stimulates ovulation; in large doses slows secretion of gonadotropins. In the whole action of Clomid consists in stimulation of ovulation to occur and prepares the body for pregnancy. This medication may be used for male patients with infertility caused by low production of sperm.
Clomid is administered to stimulate ovulation 50 mg 1 time a day at bedtime, starting from 5th day of the menstrual cycle during 5 days (in the absence of the cycle - at any time). In case of no effect (ovulation does not occur within 30 days) increase the dose to 150 mg / day or lengthen the course to 10 days. Take exactly as prescribed, do not take the medication in larger quantities.
If you missed a dose take it as soon as you remember, but not if it is almost time of the next intake by your schedule. If so skip the missed dose. Do not try to make up a missed dose by taking an extra one.
