This is a great team that should win the NL. They didn't sneak up on anybody in the game - over a month ago the Padres manager was praising them for being so good.

Best record in NL since 5/22, second best in all baseball in that stretch to the Yankees (Rox swept Yanks 3 games during that time, BTW).

Best team ERA in NL since All-Star game. Read again - the ROCKIES led in team ERA since mid-July! Pitching at "band-box" Coors? Wow.

Is anyone else tired of all the people who rag on Coors without really studying the facts because they once knew a guy who went to a game there 10 years ago that ended 18-12? It is like they get one idea in their head and never bother to validate and understand a new truth.

Best fielding % in baseball, lowest fielding % for a season in MLB history. 66 errors for a season - are you kidding me?

Tulowitski led in fielding %, SS range, total chances, and double plays. And led in SportsCenter web gems over the last month. Should win Gold Glove and Rookie of the Year. Also had most HR for a rookie SS in NL history.

Lost 3/5 of the starting rotation in two week span end of July / beginning of August, and still made a playoff push while leading the league in ERA during that time.

Holliday, Hawpe, Atkins all over 100 RBI with Helton at 91 and Tulo at 98. Great all around run production.

Interesting season no doubt. They get a rep for the bandbox type field, and long ball friendly history of the field. But that is mainly the only thing you hear about the Rockies. They still have to play half their games on the road. They are also not the only team with a home field advantage. I think they should be shown in the same light as all the teams who made the playoffs. As a good team, who had a good season. Not my team, but they are to be congratulated, on having a good team, and a good season.

definite, i think of very few human beings estimated that the Rockies could be back interior the playoffs. i replaced into particularly beneficial they have been a one-365 days ask your self back in '07, and then whilst they only gained seventy 4 video games final 365 days, i replaced into specific that their '07 international series run replaced right into a fluke. Now, plainly 2008 replaced into an underachieving 365 days and the Rockies would be in opposition for many seasons to return. they have a sturdy nucleus of gamers, yet i think of they could want a splash greater pitching to truly be risky. i'm only no longer that bought on men like Marquis and De l. a. Rosa.

Very impressive. They were in a difficult division and beat out many good teams, such as San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, St. Louis, Milwuakee, and Atlanta to get to the playoffs. They have a very balanced, potent lineup, and a pretty good pitching staff. Now that the effects of Coors Field are nullified a bit, they finally have a chance to win. And winning 13 of their last 14 games and a one game playoff against the probable Cy Young winner - it is probably their best season to date. Let's hope they can do some things in the playoffs. They beat my World Series pick to get here, and there isn't any team in the NL that is definitivly better than them.

They had a pretty decent team going into the season.................... with a great finish and a little bit of luck with Trevor Hoffman blowing a couple of saves that would've wrapped it up for the Padres

It seems like a fairy-tale. I'm hoping that wasn't the ending last night. I hope that they can carry this all the way to the World Series.
