Yes they are making a remake of the 1947 film "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". Mike Myers will play Walter Mitty. It scheduled to release in 2009. More info from the source below...

I hope that never happens.. (movies stop production all the time).. I remember a lot of talk about Jim Carrey starring in one as well .. quite awhile back.. and if I am correct that is the movie that ended up as Me, Myself and Irene..
I am a huge Danny Kaye fan.. and although, Jim Carrey has some of the same personality issues as Kaye outside of work.. it just won't work.. there is NO one that can touch Danny Kaye in this day and age.. (sword fighting, orchestra leader, surgical interests, pilot, famous cook.. he did all of this in real life based on the ability to watch people, and act like them.. no one is even close to his talent)

Danny Kaye was one of the most talented actors ever. This story, by James Thurber, has him dreaming about being thrown into mostly heroic deeds. It is one of my favorites, but his performance in "The Court Jester" still remains my favorite of all his movies.
