The only way to find out is to ask. They should be able to tell you without charging you for the asking. Regular maintanence and wear and tear should be considered on your own. The only other way is if it was a defect in the first place. I had this once happen to a shift knob that had broken off. As it turned out there must have been a crack to begin with as you could see where the paint had been ozzed down into the crack and the only way that would have happened is if there was a stress crack in it in the first place. They did replace it though free of charge. It never hurts to ask.

just because your car is still under warranty does not mean that this will be covered. It depends on if there was a defect in the manufacturing, or if it normal wear and tear. If it is normal wear and tear, chances are it will not be covered.

Hey man don't down yourself over it. If you have a bumper to bumper warranty make them replace it. You paid for that warranty so get your money's worth. And who gives a damn if they laugh at you, just laugh with them and let them know they can't build a car to stay in one peice.

It depends what kind of warranty you have, probably only power- train. But i doubt that it is covered. If you spend the 3 dollars on crazy glue, and 5 minutes of your time, glue it back in place.

i've got owned 3 GM autos and the guaranty not at all covers indoors fabric, plastics ect and so as that they do no longer conceal glass. somewhat they only conceal mechanical products like radios, engine, trans, steerage wheel, aircon - you get the element.
