yea im sure i did. i was one of those special kinda kids,
just jokin. altho i probably did eat paste. it smells good.

I have a vague memory of some sort of minty paste I tasted, yes.
When I was a kid in the 60s we has paste that was sweet and minty. I remember hearing that kids really did eat it.
