YES, you can have Splenda. My OB/GYN has said that even Equal is safe. All the information on the internet is false when it says that it is not safe. You cannot believe everything you read on the net. I am a diabetic, so for the person that said, "No, only real sugar"...you are TOTALLY WRONG!. Real sugar can KILL the fetus in a diabetic woman! DO some research before spouting misinformation!

easily, Splenda is the main secure of all man made sweeteners as a results of fact's created from genuine sugar. OB's advise using Splenda over any of the others, and that's seen to be completely secure at any point of the being pregnant. in spite of the undeniable fact that, use of the others (equivalent, candy-n-Low, etc.) is in all probability large moderately. I used candy-n-Low in my iced tea the completed time i replaced into pregnant and infrequently drank weight loss plan sodas sweetened with aspertame and not in any respect had any issues. The being pregnant replaced into large and my son is healthful. Congrats!

I was told Splenda was safe, since it's basically dextrose. My mind always told me though to limit anything that I had to question, or wasnt totally natural.
I can only drink plain water when I'm really thirsty. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I would buy the big, big bottles of poland springs, and then add a bit of a can of concentrated juice, just enough to give it some flavor - worked great for me. Good luck!

Yes you can have Splenda - but sometimes Splenda (sucralose) is partnered with acesulfame-potassium, and that makes some of the no-no lists - but the FDA has approved it for consumption by pregnant women.
They do make some flavoured water without Acesulfame-Potassium if you'd rather not drink it...I think Aquafina is one of them, if I remember correctly. Always read the labels. :)
"Sucralose: (Splenda) This is non-caloric sweetener that is made from sugar. Sucralose has been approved for use in baked goods, baking mixes, non-alcoholic beverages, chewing gum, coffee and tea products, confections and frostings, fats and oils, frozen dairy desserts and mixes, fruit juices, sugar substitutes, sweet sauces, toppings and syrups. It can also be used as “table-top sweetener.” Sucralose has no effect on blood sugar, offers no calories, and is deemed safe during pregnancy and lactation. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), sucralose is safe for everyone to consume, including pregnant women."

I'm not sure if it is ok while you are pregnant, but I would be careful with it, Splenda is not normal (made from sugar, but not sugar? I don't understnad that part) . . . You'd be better off just to stick with water right now, you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that water is safe..

Yes, you can have splenda. It won't hurt the baby. If you've never had negative affects personally, then you're completely fine.
It's sad having to give up soda. It's definitely not my favorite part of being pregnant.

Umm, I don't know. Call your doctor and ask him tomorrow. But, I wouldn't until you know for sure. Better to be safe than sorry, you know?

you really dont want to be putting anything artifical in your body while your pregnant. Splenda is chemically altered, it's not ok.
it's bad enough you were drinking too much soda.
plain water is definitely your best bet
