I am not scared right now, I feel pretty secure, but I have been pretty scared earlier this year. It was because I was a widow, feeling alone in the world, that my friends were wrapped up in their own selves and families and didn't have an effective interest in me, that my kids had their own lives and I wasn't very important to them, and that there were quite a few people out there trying to take unfair advantage of me and I could not always defend myself. This is what scared me and even now I feel that I am not too far away from that. It is a feeling or fear of being detached from love and security.
Yes, I fear God in the sense that I respect his laws and his governance of the world so that I try to do the things that please Him. I pray to Him about my needs and I feel that He is answering my prayers for love and security that I am getting and also giving love and security to another person. I feel that God will help me be loved and secure if I give love and security to others, therefore I also give to charities that provide for the needy people.

Scared of? I respect God. There is no need to fear God. This world alone is unbalanced. Being afraid who we are is nonsense. I am afraid of not knows what humans can do. I see some on segways, sitting watching television, playing sports, exchanging and stealing money, invent wonderful machines. But my favorite is how we are able to evolve. Are we yeilding part of that? We could evolve into telepathic people, deadly human weapons, stronger people. I'm scared that we may evolve but also devolve in a way. I fear the introduction of destruction.

What scares me more than anything is losing my loved ones. I'm a Born Again Christian, and it scares me knowing that I have family that will die and spend an eternity in Hell because they don't believe in God or have never asked Jesus to pay for their sins. God gave us a Free Gift and so few people take His free gift of Salvation. It's free all you have to do is accept it.
The world doesn't scare me, it's the people in the world that are so wicked and care so little for human life that scares me.
What scares you?

The world as it is doesn't scare me;I've read about it for years in the prophecies of the Bible.I don't fear God;I love Him.I don't fear death because I believe it is just a doorway to eternal life,so I really can't say I have a fear.If I'm wrong in what I believe I have lived a good life and I loose nothing. If atheist and followers of other religions are wrong in what they believe they loose everything.

I'm a masochist, so I have no fear regarding my safety.. I wouldn't fear getting beaten up on the streets or anything because I'd enjoy it in my own way. God.. I don't believe in. I have quite a few odd phobias but nothing serious.. death doesn't scare me, I really want to see what it's like. I have no fears about losing anything.. I've really got nothing to lose. the only fear I've ever had was that something bad would happen to my boyfriend, but he left me, so that dissipated. so honestly I don't know.

I am afraid of many things, mainly flying insects like wasps and bugs. I dont like speaking in public but I will do it anyway. I am scared of hostile drivers in the road, suicidal cyclists , lightning and thunder, being inside the curl of a huge wave, and people who appear to be harmless but really are not.
The world is usually benign and gives us more than we deserve because we do not do enough to protect it.
The human condition is full of fear, and all we can do is to work on overcoming our fears.
Yes, just one fear at a time, one by one.

The world doesn't scare me. I'm concerned about some of the PEOPLE I see living in it.
I don't fear "god" because I don't believe there IS one.
It's not that I have no fear -- I have no superstition. I have rational concerns, not irrational phobias.

I am scared of getting scared. Not the actual thing that could happen. But the feeling of getting scared.

Bombing Iran scares me. WWIII is on the way and our arrogant, bloviating leaders can't and won't protect us. To me this is a scary, helpless feeling. I don't have children, but if I did I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
