I worked with someone like that, and yes, his qualifications were greatly inflated. It's not the stress of the secret that turns them into psychopaths, it's that they are psychopaths and that's why they lie about their qualifications. Stay far away if you can, or switch companies, because these people are dangerous to you and your career.

A psychopath is someone to avoid at all cost , you will be harmed if you stay within their reach , this might seem extreme but get another job ...now .!, before you get hurt .don't be naive ,

Psychopaths are not like normal people..they may look normal but their brains work differently to normal people , they don't feel or understand like normal people , BEWARE do not trust a psychopath....it will be at your peril if you do .

They generally wouldn't need to inflate their quals. Their supposed leadership qualities and assumed personality would see them through even where their qualifications lacked in an interview situation.Their true colours won't come through until later, and then only the very astute will pick them out - and it will usually be those left in the wake or working under them that are unfortunate enough to recognise them for what they really are. There is serious research around on office psychopaths.

Hehehe. To put it in a semi-historical context: At the end of WWII, after the huge 'firestorms' caused by saturation bombing in Dresden had pretty much totally destroyed everything, it was just unbelievable how many 'PhDs' crawled out of the woodwork who had done all of their graduate work at Dresden University ☺

It sounds like someone is a little paranoid. Delusions of grandeur can't be far behind.
