Model: Seagate FreeAgent Desktop 250 GB USB External Hard Drive ST302504FDA1E1-RK

Since it's designated as a "desktop" external hard drive, I just want to know if it has any compatibility problems with a laptop.

Thanks!

Provided your laptop has the appropriate interface, yes.

By this I mean that external drives currently connect using USB, Firewire or eSATA (or a combination of the three). Your laptop needs to support the appropriate connection in order to access the drive.

USB connection? Should work if your laptop is fairly new.
