multiply both sides by 2 to get rid of the 1/2:

2A=bh, Now divide both sides by h to get b by itself.

2A/h=b

An easy way to think this though is like this:

Look at the right side of the equal sign: 1/2bh. If you want just b left out of this, you have to devide the whole thing by 1/2h correct? Then do so. Once you do, you only have b left.

Now, do the same to the left side of the equal sign: that is, divide it by 1/2h.

Now you have an equation that one side is just b. You just need to simplify it to remove the compound fraction if you can.

if its A=1/(2bh)
its b=1/(2Ah)
if its A=(1/2)bh then the person on top is correct
