I've seen seat belts made into belts. Hubcaps can be turned into clock. Two rims bolted together, one on top of another, cleaned up and decoratively painted and topped with a pillow could make a small seat. A tailpipe somehow bolted to a base, could be wired to make a floor lamp. If you have the talent, you could build a frame and use the seats to make a booth/couch for a diner themed room. If the seats were pleat and rolled, so much the better. If you are talking about the older model cars that had chrome bumpers, you could use a string of rope lights behind it for a lighted wall sculpture. Back to the rims, You could get a piece of thick safety glass, larger than the top of the rims, and make the 2 of them into a small table. Head gaskets: I don't know what they look like after they are used, but you could cut a mirror to size and glue the gasket over it for an interesting ' framed ' mirror. That's all I can think of.

Tire swings cut out of inside out tires, flowers cut out of inside out tires I've seen. Cut and shaped turn signal and back light covers make yellow and red colored jewelry and Christmas decorations. Welded iron pieces make great sculptures. Mirror pieces and pieces of colored light covers make great tile work. light bulbs can be lit on a strand. Flat gears and Hood ornaments, and the old chrome auto names and emblems can be pulled off to make wind chimes and mobiles, with the colored wires as the "string"... esp Rolls, Cadillacs, and Mercedes.
