I say "I couldn't care less". That just makes more sense because you care so little that it would just be impossible to care less than you already do.

I switch from day to day. I usually say "I could care less" when I kind of care, but not much. I say "I couldn't care less" when I really couldn't.

but of the two choices you are offering, i would say "couldn't"
