i was sposed to meet my friend cos we are trying meeting at the same time and day every week cos life has gotten busier...and i get up earlier for it and he forgot me! he said he sincerely apologises and even said sorry sweetheart..awww...but still. he forgot me! how rude is that. i am considering being cold and distant around him. i mean i know hes not perfect but gods...shall i let this go as human error or be oversensitive and take it as a personal insult?

I don't think that you should take it as a personal insult. Don't be cold and distant around him. Being cold and distant around him wouldn't help anything. I don't think that he was just ignoring you, so you shouldn't ignore him. Everyone forgets things at times, even if it has something to do with their friends or significant other. It's not about being rude, it's just that no one can always remember everything. Don't worry about your friend's forgetfulness. It's good that he said "Sorry sweetheart", because it shows that he cares about how you feel.
So don't make this into the problem that it isn't!

You may be over reacting, if he hasn't done this much. But if this is happening more often then not then he's a idiot. But you said yourself life is getting busy, maybe he was just so tired(mentally) that he was just happy to get the time off.

If this is the first time let it slide. When people start doing it twice, a third time thats when you should get mad about it.

I would accept him apology. He was not being rude. He is busy and his life is hectic. If he does it again I would be upset. If this is the first I would take him at his word.

i wouldnt be cold or distant but i wouldnt let him forget it either haha tell him your still not over yet... it wasnt a personal insult but an honest mistake by the sounds but still grovelling is required
