Well, I did live with out electricity for a week in January during an ice storm. Although, it gets way too boring without any electricity. So, I could live without it for a week or two, but it would really suck!

I could, of course, just like my ancestors did. But, I sure wouldn't like it! Three days without when we had an ice storm a few years ago was a enough to make me love my central heat, kitchen applicances, computer and TV even more! I felt so cold I thought I'd never get warm again.

we lost it at home for 4 days when a storm went thru...the first day was kinda fun but after that it was a pain in the neck!! the folks next door had babies and it was real hard for them. They had to sit in the car and warm bottles with a car warmer and it was no fun!! One neighbor had a pool and let us all get buckets of water to flush toilets. We showered at work....no fun after the first day!! So no I don't want to live without it again!!

Yes, if I absolutely, positively, had to do it. I already wash a lot of clothes by hand. And I have a "camper washer" that uses a hand-crank to spin the wash tub. And I have those "wind-up" flashlights. I am a very adaptable person.

It would be tough, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Maybe it would be worth it to go back to a time when the world, and life, were more simple.

I already do. I'm on a battery generated laptop. I use candles, and lanterns. I read books and the news paper for entertainment. My heat and stove are gas.
