Ruby is a cute name for a girl!
I am reminded of the book Ruby Holler, the color red, and a happy smiling toddler
If you want to name your daughter Ruby, go for it!

I think it's cool. Kind of retro, you know? Like a throwback to decades ago. Plus it's the name of a gem, that's cool. Sounds much more original than the cutesy names most parents come up with these days. Find something really exotic for the middle name and you've got a winner!

It used to be a name I didn't like, but the little girl on According to Jim is called Ruby and now I think it's cute :)

It's not the most popular, or up to date name, but I think of rubies, which are one of my favorite gems. It also sounds feminine, and I think of a 'nice, old fashioned girl', and I don't mean that in a negative way. I think it's a good name. I mean, really, with what some people want to name their kids these days, I think it's a very comfortable, and solid name.

I love the name Ruby, because I bowled with a fire cracker of a woman named Ruby who passed away. Bowling was not the same without her. I will always remember her :)

I like the name Ruby. My sister's name is Barbara Ruth and we used to call her Barbara Ruth Ruby. I think it's a pretty name with a great and beautiful conotation.

Ruby is a name for many things. Ruby is a Zodiac Birthstone, for Cancer, the month of July. Ruby is mentioned in Willie Nelson's song. "Oh Ruby, don't take your love to town'. Also, I have a male cat named Ruby.
So, I guess it's a very personal thing.

I LOVE the name RUBY!! Had we not decided to name our daughter after my mother, her name would have been Ruby. It is such a sweet, loving name!!!
