A friend of me asked and I said yes because if you believe in love then you have faith in it but I wanted to see some one else's opinion.

Superb question!!

Absolute faith and absolute love are the same.... both are at the same plane of having transcended reason.

However, in reality we are not capable of either absolute faith or absolute love. In the diluted version of faith and love that we are most capable of, I believe that faith does come out stronger than love... what I mean is that we seem to be capable of a higher degree of faith than love. For all practical purposes therefore, it is more than likely that our faith may transcend our love.

Faith is denoted as "belief, in the absence of knowledge." Why does faith need to transcend love? If you love, it is in response to the values you perceive in others: integrity, personality, an aesthetic skill, or even just the color of his eyes or the way he looks at you. Where does faith fit into the perception of the value of others? I guess if you did not perceive any value in others, but neither did you see any flaws, you would have to have faith that he might be what you wish him to be.

faith is Trust. Faith is the opposite of Doubt. You are asking if faith Trancends Love? but you said you "believe in'
love and therefore have faith in love.
yes, faith and love go together but one cannot transcend the other.

Faith is inherently a transcendental quality. Love, at least legitimate love is grounded with reasons (i.e. I love her/him because X.) Their can be no reasons for faith because if it reasoned than it is no longer faith. So to directly answer your question yes.
