So i'm 17. and my ex boyfriends 17th birthday is soon and we still are really close. hes been there for me through a lot and vice versa. we started dating when i was in 8th grade and he was in 7th and dated off and on up until my sophmore year of high school and ever since then we have just been reele close. He means a lot to me but i'm not sure what i should get him, what would be appropriate and what wouldn't, plus shopping for guy's is hard enough without it being not a boyfriend or something.

everyone says i talk bout him like hes not an ex, but it's hard to explain. no matter how long it's been or if we both have other people in our life we our still close and there will awlays be feelings there, he was like my first boyfriend, first kiss... and so on

some thing under 20 like a burned cd of some of his fav bands,(nothing romantic!!!!!!!don't look like a freak) or astore cd from the story a band he likes )a teeshirt from his fav store/american eagle whatever he wears something tastefull and funny from a gag gifts store . don't make it look like u wanted to find something special or expensive just make it look like hey i know what u like and it was convenient to buy it, like i had this plyalist already in my computer, i was at the story any ways saw this thought of u,or think about someplace u went together alot, or did alot. like if u played basketball get a new basket ball. or get something for one of his pets if he is big on his pets. or make him a gift basket of a few of his fav things like his fav drink, fav cookies,fav candy, (but keep it small and not flashy if u give it too him at school, actually give it before, in front of people might be embarrousing to a guy.

off the top of my head I am leaning towards concert tickets or professional sports tickets. However, what are his interests? I would gear a gift towards that. Maybe a cd to his favorite group?

Why not take him or his picture to a store and find the perfect shirt. Get one that really offsets his eyes.

Get him a card that truly expresses how you appreciate his friendship. But not too mushy you know. Hallmark makes those singing cards try one of those. And get him a gift certificate to his favorite store.

you can never go wrong with a gift card but then again you want it to be more personal to show you care. think of his personality and what he really likes.
