We do not actually have a Superintendent anymore. We now have a School Chancellor and her name is Michelle Rhee.

If you want to get additional information about her plans, you can go to this website for D.C. Public Schools
http://www.k12.dc.us/chancellor.htm or you can also get information from this website www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=14151155 and or google her name.

Also the person who answered the question beforehand should try to make a difference instead of unfairly criticizing. Change does not happen overnight but so far I have seen real changes in the physical plants at the D.C. Public Schools and there is a good atmosphere of real hope.
