" that's soo embarassing Karen! " i don't care wat people think of me, i like 2 have fun. but i don't know wat's going on with them... we have high school next year, i don't know wat problems will arise... ** sigh ** wat's wrong?

Karen, all throughout your life your friends will change. Some, not many however, will be there for you throughout your entire life. But even these relationships will change as you and they get involved in dating and real relationships. Once children come into the picture then again the deepness of these relationships will chamge. So be grateful for the friends that you have today. And if you are embarrassing them because they are pretending to be so grown up, then tell them to lighten up and allow you to be yourself. Best of luck and please do continue throughout your life to believe in yourself and not allow your actions to be dictated by others.

Well, first, you're in that somewhat confusing period of youth when none of your relationships are quite stable yet, so I do understand what you're going through. Do talk to your friends about it; if they're good friends they'll understand and take measures to keep the friendship alive. If you've always been a good friend to them, then these good friends should be there for you too - it's as simple as that. But if it turns out they're not quite who you thought they were, don't fret, and don't cling if they continue to push you away. Once you do your part, you can only wait for them to do theirs, and if they don't, you move on. You're young; now is the best time in your life to meet new people and form new relationships. Don't be afraid to reach out and make new friends. There is a wide world before you with plenty of wonderful, loyal people before you. Never shy away from new friendships; share your personality with the people around you, and above all, be open to embracing change. Change is the only constant in this life. If you do this, and are patient to form new friendships and new bonds of trust, you will be rewarded with longlasting friendships sooner or later. Be kind and be open! Good luck!

OMG!! I know exactly what you mean and i feel the same way not to mention in the same grade. But yea i have heard form many ppl that once you get to high school a lot of ppl just go their seperate ways. My advice would be to just find some friends that really just want to have fun. You can still be friends with those other girls but just better friends with someone more like you. And i know it is hard to think that i have been friends with these girls for so long and i dont want to not be but they are just not the type of ppl i want to be around a lot. But you can always still be friends with them and just not as close as before. It is hard and i have a lot to say about it but i dont want to over do it. haha =] good luck we will both need it. And plz pick me for best answer. =] ily

they are still your friends, but are reaching that point where fitting in seems more important than being there for each other. it is just a phase and they should grow out of it by college. Try to remain in contact with them and be their friend; however, since they do gossip I would refrain from telling them anything personal.
also, maybe you should reach out to new people and grow your circle of friends. there are a ton of people like you who do not care what people think of them and just want to have fun- they usually are the ones who do have the most fun in high school and beyond.
